What you will do

• Define long-term storage strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Research emerging technologies, run proofs of concept, and share clear recommendations.
• Design and maintain storage architectures for data centers and cloud environments.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, presentations, and prototypes.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear messages for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Guide and support engineering teams through design reviews and implementation choices.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of software-defined storage technologies such as NFS, SMB, S3, Ceph, and similar systems.
• Proven ability to design complex storage architectures across on‑premises and cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of data protection and disaster recovery, including backup and replication strategies.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, or equivalents.
• Good grasp of storage security best practices, including encryption and access controls.
