What you will do
- Design and oversee global risk management frameworks for payroll operations and new product features.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, high-impact payroll incidents.
- Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to ensure consistent quality and organizational learning.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to implement process improvements that reduce incident recurrence.
- Mentor and develop managers and specialists in risk assessment and incident handling practices.
- Manage the global payroll risk register and provide insights for strategic planning.
Requirements
- Fluent English is required for all applications
- Extensive experience in payroll risk management, incident response, or compliance, ideally within SaaS or finance.
- Demonstrated success in scaling risk governance frameworks and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead teams in a distributed, hirify.global-first environment.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience with RCA methodologies such as 5 Whys or Fishbone.

- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Notion or Monday.com.
