What you will do

• Lead and mentor 1–2 engineering teams (8–20 engineers) to deliver scalable fraud prevention solutions.
• Define and execute the multi-year technical strategy for anti-fraud systems aligned with company growth.
• Drive the architectural evolution of real-time fraud scoring, rule engines, and vendor integrations.
• Ensure systems scale effectively across global payment methods and regulatory environments.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and operations to optimize approval rates and reduce chargebacks.
• Act as a senior technical leader during incident response and high-stakes fraud escalations.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with significant experience in payments, fintech, or risk systems.
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing multiple teams or managers.
• Proven ownership of Anti-Fraud Systems (AFS) or similar large-scale risk platforms.
• Deep understanding of fraud vectors, payment schemes, and secure system design.
• Experience with high-throughput, distributed systems architecture.
• Must be based in Serbia.

Nice to have

• Experience in gaming or digital goods ecosystems.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC systems.
• Experience building and managing globally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks for risk policies.
