What you will do

  • Lead and manage the Bring a Friend engineering team, overseeing delivery and feature prioritization.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to team members to enable professional growth.
  • Strengthen team scaling processes and foster a healthy, collaborative work culture.
  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute hands-on to backend services using Golang.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication to align with business goals.
  • Ensure high-quality technical solutions and efficient project delivery within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience managing small engineering teams (5-8 people) in fast-paced environments.
  • 4+ years of professional development experience with Golang.
  • Strong background in hiring, development, performance management, and delivery.
  • Proven ability to participate in architectural discussions and validate technical solutions.
  • Excellent diplomacy and skills in cross-functional partnership and advocacy.
  • Experience in optimizing software development processes such as planning and decomposition.
