What you will do
- Act as the primary subject-matter expert for payroll and employment compliance within your assigned jurisdiction.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to translate complex statutory payroll logic into structured technical requirements.
- Lead high-risk audits and regulatory reviews, driving systemic improvements based on findings.
- Resolve regional compliance incidents by partnering cross-functionally to implement corrective actions.
- Design, document, and monitor scalable processes and governance frameworks for payroll operations.
- Coach and mentor internal teams to raise the overall capability and compliance knowledge across the organization.
Requirements
- English: Professional fluency required for documentation and communication.
- Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for your specific country or region.
- Proven record of leading audits, regulatory reviews, or complex compliance programs.
- Experience partnering with technical teams to translate statutory rules into product/system logic.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams including Legal, Product, and Engineering.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-changing, fully hirify.global and asynchronous environment.
