Focus on balancing hands-on keyframe animation tasks with high-level scheduling, cross-department collaboration, and engine integration to ensure project consistency.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Chengdu (China), Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), Montpellier (France), or Kyiv (Ukraine). Roles in China, UK, and France are office-based; Kyiv is hybrid.

What you will do

• Manage the production and delivery of all animation assets.
• Supervise the animation team, establishing priorities and meeting quality standards within deadlines.
• Maintain effective workflows and communication with outsourcing partners.
• Identify and resolve risks throughout the animation and outsourcing pipeline.
• Collaborate with Art, Tech, and Design teams to define project objectives and technical requirements.
• Provide mentorship to the animation team and drive rapid prototyping initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in animation leadership or mentorship throughout the full game development cycle.
• Strong proficiency in Maya or 3DS MAX.
• English proficiency required; Chinese language skills are a significant plus.
• Deep understanding of animation principles, character anatomy, and rigging pipelines.
• Experience managing scheduling and outsourcing pipelines in a game production environment.
• Successful track record of shipping high-quality mobile or console titles.
