What you will do

• Proactively source early-stage investment opportunities by building deep connections within technical communities.
• Conduct end-to-end due diligence, including technical architecture reviews and market competitive mapping.
• Develop and refine investment theses on emerging paradigms like AI-native workflows and the future data stack.
• Provide strategic support to portfolio companies, including assistance with key engineering hires and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate across the investment team to share insights and identify cross-domain opportunities.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• 2–5+ years of professional technical experience (Software Engineering, ML/AI Research, Data Science, or Technical Founder).
• Strong ability to evaluate technical architecture and understand system design trade-offs.
• Exceptional networking and social instincts for building authentic relationships with founders.
• Proven capability for independent thinking and forming contrarian investment opinions.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and active engagement with latest research and tools.
