What you will do

• Design and build core backend systems for content delivery.
• Evolve APIs, schemas, and versioning strategies for high-traffic environments.
• Implement cache-aware execution pipelines with strong performance guarantees.
• Manage production systems, including observability, debugging, and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with a high-performance ecosystem.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering skills with experience in system design, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience maintaining and improving complex, long-lived production systems.
• Proficiency in evolving APIs and data models used by customers or internal teams.
• Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and make sound technical tradeoffs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for explaining technical reasoning.
• Must be based in Europe to join the remote-first team.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, and serverless applications.
• Experience with declarative systems and data transformation pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI tooling and personalization systems.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
