Salary: $52,250–$71,760 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop social studies educational content for 6-12th grade students.
• Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible.
• Write clear lesson objectives and align teaching materials to meet them.
• Use technology such as Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, and screencasting software.
• Evaluate and refine content based on feedback and educational outcomes.
• Collaborate on special projects and assignments.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of full-time social studies classroom teaching experience in core social studies subjects at the 6-12th grade level
• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education or in a social studies-related field
• Familiarity with writing lesson objectives and creating objective-aligned lesson materials
• Experience designing well-structured and effective lessons
• Ability to differentiate instruction to make learning accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate
• Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection

Nice to have

• You have an active teaching certification and/or you have completed professional development or training in curriculum design and pedagogy
• You have hands-on experience designing and writing curriculum, including writing scripts for completely asynchronous video lessons
• You have experience teaching and designing lessons related to social studies electives and AP courses.
• You have experience analyzing and transforming data into actionable goals that have positively impacted your students
