TL;DR
Subject Support Manager (English): Supporting teachers across England to enhance the understanding, delivery, and experience of English qualifications with an accent on assessment reform and curriculum knowledge. Focus on shaping qualification delivery, answering queries, producing updates, and representing hirify.global at conferences.
Location: Hybrid - one day in the office per week in Manchester, Milton Keynes, London, or Guildford plus extensive national travel including overnight stays.
Salary: £43,000 - £50,900 depending on location.

What you will do
- Represent hirify.global and deliver key subject messages to external audiences.
- Support schools, centres, and teachers with subject-related queries.
- Engage with teachers face-to-face and online to support continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with subject stakeholders and use insights to shape future developments.
- Gather and analyse data and customer feedback to inform decisions and improve delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
Requirements
- A clear understanding of English (Language, Literature or combined), the specifications and current pedagogy.
- An understanding of GCSE and/or A level assessment and awareness of the wider education landscape.
- Current or former teaching experience and ability to demonstrate credibility with teachers.
- Experience extending influence beyond your own classroom.
- The ability to use data effectively to inform delivery and understand customer impact.
- Clear and empathetic communication skills, including presenting to teachers, parents and students.
- Flexibility to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
