TL;DR

Senior Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading and growing high-performing engineering teams responsible for building and scaling software systems that support global product expansion with an accent on technical strategy and localized financial services. Focus on partnering with cross-functional leadership, fostering technical excellence, and driving complex technical initiatives from inception through delivery.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY (Hybrid, 4 days per week in-office)

Salary: $264,000 - $310,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead and develop engineering teams, fostering a strong culture of technical excellence and inclusion.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable technical strategy and execution priorities.
  • Ensure systems are robust, scalable, and localized for diverse international markets.
  • Manage hiring, mentorship, performance, and professional development for team members.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across product, design, and data functions.
  • Champion engineering practices that balance development speed, system quality, and long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience including significant leadership roles.
  • Proven track record managing engineering managers or multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Deep technical background in distributed systems and software architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex technical initiatives from inception to delivery.
  • Strong communication skills for aligning stakeholders across various teams and geographies.
  • Must be based in the US and capable of working onsite 4 days per week.
