TL;DR

Full-Stack Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing learning experiences within ChatGPT with an accent on multimodal interfaces and scalable backend services. Focus on translating cutting-edge AI model capabilities into intuitive, effective consumer products for a global audience.

Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco or New York City. Hybrid model: 3 days in the office per week.

Salary: $185,000 – $490,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Build end-to-end product experiences that help people learn with ChatGPT.
• Design and implement multimodal capabilities including text, images, voice, and interactive interfaces.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs for learning features.
• Collaborate with researchers and product managers to prototype and ship new features.
• Improve performance, reliability, and usability across ChatGPT surfaces.
• Iterate on features based on experimentation and user feedback.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco or New York City 3 days per week.
• Strong experience in full-stack development with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in backend development with Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Experience owning features from concept through production.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems and shape them into clear product solutions.
• Strong product engineering instincts and a high bar for UX quality.

• Experience building interactive educational tools or learning products.
• Experience with AI-powered applications or LLM-based systems.
