What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Python and AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Design and implement distributed execution engines or data infrastructure for feature computation.
• Own systems end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Make high-level architectural decisions to improve system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to influence the product roadmap.
• Mentor team members and improve development processes through code reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a senior capacity.
• Deep expertise in Python and cloud-based backend development (AWS).
• Strong system design skills with the ability to articulate architectural trade-offs.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model from Berlin, Iasi, or London.
• Proficiency in at least one specialized area: data pipelines, event-driven architecture, or serverless systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming/real-time data pipelines (Kinesis) or Apache Spark/Iceberg.
• Knowledge of messaging systems like SQS or EventBridge.
• Familiarity with multi-level caching strategies using Redis or DynamoDB.
• Scale-focused serverless experience (SAM, CloudFormation).
