What you will do

• Build frameworks and tooling for ingesting complex financial data from hundreds of global providers.
• Develop and implement robust engineering solutions with well-tested, high-quality code.
• Contribute to architecture design, product roadmaps, and code reviews.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers and stakeholders.
• Solve complex technical problems related to scalable data ingestion.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK from day one; no visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work from the Edinburgh office for a minimum of 2 days per week.
• Professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong background in object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, AWS, Spark, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and web API best practices.
• Proven ability to work within an agile team environment.

Nice to have

• Linux proficiency and basic shell scripting.
• Solid grasp of systems-level programming.
• Experience in or knowledge of financial data systems.
