It Audit Intern (Fintech)

TL;DR

IT Audit Intern (Fintech): Assisting Global Assurance on day-to-day activities in support of IT Audits with an accent on executing internal audits and special reviews to provide assurance regarding the existence and effectiveness of internal controls. Focus on developing professional skepticism and knowledge of the business to understand processes to identify and assess risk.

Location: Hybrid Schedule - able to come into the hirify.global Chicago Office office.

Salary: $21.68--$36.10 per hour

What you will do

• Create accurate, logical and detailed workpapers clearly describing the work performed, results of testing and conclusions reached.
• Maintain positive and collaborative business relationships with GA's clients (auditees) to support effective and efficient audit execution.
• Execute audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and verify compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Partner with more senior members of the GA team to provide recommendations to management for strengthening controls and work with management to develop acceptable solutions to mitigate risk.
• Build knowledge of the CME's operations, including policies and procedures and any applicable regulatory requirements.
• Incorporate data analytics and Generative AI tools to enhance audit assurance and streamline documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS or Masters/Advanced Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Accounting.
• Basic experience with Google Workspace applications.
• Experience with data analytics, including visualization and scripting tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, SQL, or Python) is a plus.
• Able to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship assistance (CPT, H1B, F1, L etc.).
