Compliance Specialist (Fintech): Developing and managing compliance frameworks for consumer lending products with an accent on US federal and state regulatory alignment. Focus on advising cross-functional teams, implementing controls for fair lending and consumer protection, and building a scalable compliance management system.

Location: Must be based in Miami, FL (Hybrid: 2-3 times/week in-office)

What you will do

• Advise product and operations teams on regulatory risks for new initiatives and system implementations.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Design and execute monitoring and testing for unsecured lending lifecycles, including fair lending and credit model reviews.
• Manage compliance controls for collection practices to ensure adherence to FDCPA and related state laws.
• Support the development of a robust compliance management system for a national bank under OCC supervision.
• Assess and remediate compliance impacts from operational failures or regulatory changes.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in compliance, risk, or audit within a regulated US financial institution or fintech.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• Deep working knowledge of US consumer compliance regulations including ECOA/Reg B, TILA/Reg Z, UDAAP, FDCPA, and FCRA.
• Ability to independently interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to complex business scenarios.
• Proven track record of improving or building compliance controls and monitoring programs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex regulatory topics clearly to non-compliance audiences.
