What you will do

• Lead the design, coding, and testing of ingestion pipelines using cloud-native, serverless technologies.
• Extend existing CI/CD patterns and IaC architecture.
• Understand user access requirements and design user-facing structures.
• Extend the data catalog to enhance the semantic understanding of data.
• Set up proactive monitoring and alerting using cloud-native capabilities.
• Design and implement automation for a self-service model for data engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Data Architecture, including ERD, Primary Key/Foreign Key definition, and access strategies using big-data capabilities.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering principles (batch, event-driven) and associated architecture and observability tenets.
• Experience with AWS and AWS native tools (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Lake Formation, S3, SQS, SNS).
• Strong written and verbal communication & presentation skills.

• AWS certifications are a plus.
