What you will do

• Design the target data platform architecture on Azure Databricks, including ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.
• Define data modeling standards and implement medallion architecture principles (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Architect real-time and near-real-time data ingestion patterns using Kafka, Azure Event Hub, and CDC.
• Establish Unity Catalog structures, including schema design, access control taxonomy, and metadata standards.
• Develop architectural blueprints aligned with international financial data strategies.
• Ensure platform architecture complies with BCBS239, RDARR, and GDPR data governance requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture specifically within banking or financial services.
• Strong proficiency with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Expertise in event-driven data ingestion pipelines (Kafka, Event Hub, CDC).
• Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools like Collibra or Ataccama.
• Familiarity with data quality and lineage requirements in highly regulated environments.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture principles.
• Experience with Databricks MLflow and ML feature stores.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification.
