TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Broadcast): Designing and optimizing enterprise-level network infrastructure for global live production ecosystems with an accent on routing, switching, and security in complex broadcast environments. Focus on maintaining high availability, implementing SMPTE 2110 standards, and ensuring robust network performance for large-scale live events.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid role with required travel within the US).

What you will do

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing hardware.
Configure and troubleshoot complex networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure scalability and reliability for broadcast operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and engineering teams to integrate systems and applications.
Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
Document configurations and provide technical support to end-users and internal teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Proven hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto equipment.
Deep understanding of networking concepts and broadcast-specific technologies.
Must be able to travel within the US as required.
Must be based in Pittsburgh, PA for onsite/hybrid work.

Nice to have

Relevant industry certifications (CCNP, JNCIP).
Knowledge of SMPTE 2110, ATSC, and FCC regulatory requirements.
Experience with MySQL, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes.
