Network Engineer

What you will do

• Provision and manage network hardware and software infrastructure.
• Monitor and operate the network daily in collaboration with SRE and Infrastructure Engineering teams.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Assist network peers with inquiries and analyze data regarding performance degradation.
• Isolate and resolve complex network, hardware, and software issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Proficiency in multiple network vendor operating systems and relevant certifications (JNCIA, CCNA or higher).
• Strong understanding of BGP and the OSI model.
• Experience scripting in Bash or Python.
• Proven ability to work in team-based, customer-facing roles.
• Must be authorized to receive software/technology controlled under U.S. export laws.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of anycast routing, Junos, IOS-XR, NX-OS, EOS, or SONIC.
• Experience with optical transport technologies (CWDM/DWDM) and Linux system administration.
• Background in solving network problems through automation.
