Salary: $405,000 - $485,000 USD Annual Salary

What you will do

• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-leverage team of network engineers, establishing charter, practices, and priorities.
• Drive technical strategy and prioritize work across WAN buildout, data center networking, cloud connectivity, and host networking.
• Mature the team's approach to reliability, observability, and incident response for critical network infrastructure.
• Enable ML teams to seamlessly use compute capacity across AWS, GCP, and internal data centers.
• Serve as a bridge, communicating dependencies, risks, and progress to stakeholders across the organization.
• Maintain technical depth to provide guidance and represent networking concerns in cross-functional discussions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience building teams in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Strong technical foundation in networking, including TCP/IP, BGP, routing architectures, and network debugging.
• Experience across multiple networking domains (e.g., WAN, data center networking, host networking, cloud networking).
• Ability to balance technical depth with pragmatic decision-making.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical challenges into business terms.
• Comfort with end-to-end ownership in environments lacking established best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling networking at companies during periods of hypergrowth.
• Background working across organizational boundaries and wearing multiple hats.
• Familiarity with both cloud provider networking (AWS, GCP) and on-premises/colo environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure and the unique demands of large-scale distributed training.
