What you will do

• Commission and curate Reviews, Perspectives, and opinion pieces for the journal.
• Provide developmental and line-by-line editing to ensure clarity, accuracy, and impact.
• Organize and manage the end-to-end peer-review process.
• Write Research Highlights and other engaging editorial content.
• Collaborate with authors on manuscript structure, figures, and display items.

Requirements

• PhD in a biotechnology-related discipline required.
• Strong expertise in scientific and academic writing with an eye for detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to manage complex editorial workflows.
• Ability to identify and synthesize emerging trends across various research areas.
• Must be able to work on-site in Berlin or Heidelberg as per hybrid policy.
