What you will do

• Lead end-to-end platform initiatives from technical design and implementation to rollout and iteration.
• Develop plugins, templates, and workflows within Backstage to enhance developer productivity.
• Engage with internal users to identify pain points and translate feedback into platform improvements.
• Design and maintain reusable abstractions, services, and tooling to help teams deploy and scale their applications.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure platform capabilities meet operational and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on platform, backend, or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and deliver production-grade systems independently.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Practical experience with internal developer platforms or infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and modern deployment workflows.
• Excellent communication and product mindset with the ability to articulate architectural trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Backstage.
• Strong familiarity with GCP.
• Deep knowledge of observability tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
