What you will do

• Build and maintain performant, accessible user-facing web experiences consistent with group-wide design systems.
• Translate UX requirements into robust front-end implementations using React and responsive modular components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to validate technical feasibility and ensure high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
• Integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions into interfaces to enhance personalization and traveler assistance.
• Implement UI state management and ensure reliable data presentation through efficient backend API integration.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Austin, Texas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience building production-grade web UIs integrated with backend services.
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern UI framework.
• Hands-on experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment with product and design teams.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integrating AI-driven systems into user-facing products.

Nice to have

• Experience evolving shared UI components or design systems at scale.
• Proficiency in front-end architecture, including performance optimization, test automation, and state management.
• Experience defining and consuming GraphQL or RESTful APIs.
• Experience instrumenting UX for telemetry and data-driven continuous improvement.
