What you will do
- Partner with designers to build and maintain reusable UI components using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, CSS/Sass, and HTML
- Write documentation to enable self-serve education for internal consumers
- Develop tools to improve quality, performance, and accessibility of frontend components
- Expand contributor pool and improve frontend code quality through tooling
- Coordinate cross-team efforts to build accessible, modular, and performant frontend experiences
- Leverage AI to enhance design system capabilities and frontend quality
Requirements
- Must have 10+ years of frontend engineering experience
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
- Experience building modular, composable, and well-documented UI components
- Experience with JavaScript testing libraries for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Passion for creating inclusive and accessible user experiences
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with design and non-technical teams
Nice to have
- Familiarity with frontend styling approaches (CSS Modules, CSS-in-JS, Sass)
- Experience with component libraries like Material UI, Carbon, Polaris, Lightning
- Knowledge of accessibility tooling (axe) and observability (RUM, Synthetic Testing)
- Experience with AI technologies such as MCPs and prompting
