Salary: $166,500–$200,000

What you will do

• Drive the architecture, codebase stewardship, and long-term roadmap for the platform.
• Perform in-depth platform assessments to identify technical debt and architectural improvements.
• Design and construct an enterprise-grade data platform supporting middleware, AI agents, and product workflows.
• Architect robust PostgreSQL models and scalable Snowflake data schemas and pipelines.
• Establish architectural patterns, standards, and guardrails to ensure system consistency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to increase platform adoption and provide technical mentorship.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in architecture roles.
• Must be able to commute to the office 2 days a week in San Ramon, CA.
• Deep, hands-on experience with Java and Groovy, including microservices and distributed systems.
• Expertise in data modeling within Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns and modern cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to produce clear architecture artifacts like diagrams, standards, and roadmaps.

Nice to have

• Experience utilizing AI-driven tools to enhance engineering productivity.
• Experience designing data platform services using graph databases like Neo4j or Amazon Neptune.
