What you will do

• Lead and mature the enterprise-wide Software Asset Management (SAM) program.
• Manage SAM tooling to ensure accurate inventory, entitlement, and usage analytics.
• Develop standardized frameworks for software portfolio categorization and enterprise governance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Legal to optimize vendor contracts and license utilization.
• Partner with IT and Engineering teams to rationalize redundant tools and reduce portfolio complexity.
• Build and lead a high-performing team while establishing executive reporting on software spend and value realization.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 10+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, ITAM, or IT operations.
• 7+ years of experience establishing or scaling enterprise SAM programs in complex environments.
• 7+ years of proven experience managing licensing models for major vendors like Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, or SAP.
• 5+ years of experience operating SAM discovery and license management tools.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen for managing large-scale software expenditure.
• Proven ability in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership across diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ITIL, ITAM, or ISO 19770 frameworks.
• Experience in vendor audit defense and complex contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of cloud licensing models and SaaS optimization strategies.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or ITIL.
