IT - Sr Staff Systems Engineer (Active Directory and Windows Server Administration)

TL;DR

Sr Staff Systems Engineer (Active Directory): Manage and secure Active Directory and Windows Server environments with an accent on OS hardening, vulnerability, and patch management. Location: This is an onsite position. Must be able to work in-person from hirify.global’s San Jose office; Monday through Thursday.

Salary: $136,500–$253,500

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day administration and support for Microsoft Active Directory (2016/2019+).
• Maintain and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and authentication policies.
• Work with core services like DNS and DHCP integrated with AD.
• Perform regular audits and cleanup of AD objects to ensure security and efficiency.
• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019+), implementing security hardening.
• Analyze security bulletins, prioritize, and deploy patches.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Kerberos, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments and administration.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Good written and verbal communications skills (English B2 required).
• Must be able to work in-person from hirify.global’s San Jose office; Monday through Thursday.

• Experience with Microsoft O365 environment.
• Familiarity with security best practices for hybrid identity environments.
