What you will do

• Design and build automated platform workflows for provisioning and managing data services on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain capabilities for data ecosystem components including Spark, Iceberg, and Ranger.
• Engineer security automation for data access, encryption, and protection across the platform.
• Integrate security controls directly into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code processes.
• Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable end-to-end data solutions.
• Contribute to platform reliability through SRE practices, runbooks, and standardized operational procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Strong Python development skills for enterprise-scale automation.
• Practical experience building or operating software in containerized environments like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals including least privilege and secure SDLC.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and integrating security checks into delivery workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for working across diverse engineering and security stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with open-source ecosystem tools like Ranger, Keycloak, DataHub, or Superset.
• Knowledge of S3-compatible object storage and distributed data processing.
• Experience with observability tooling, security telemetry, and incident response.
• Exposure to API design or frontend development for operational portals.
