What you will do

• Own evolution and scaling of HIPAA-compliant backend infrastructure
• Build infrastructure to support conversational AI in production
• Design and implement performant APIs and services
• Improve reliability and observability through monitoring and alerting
• Set engineering patterns and standards for the team
• Collaborate closely with clinical and customer-facing teams to address patient needs
• Ship pragmatic solutions quickly and iterate based on feedback

Requirements

• Strong Python proficiency with production experience
• Experience designing event-driven or workflow-based architectures
• Hands-on with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (GCP, Terraform)
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with serverless architectures
• Understanding of security best practices and performance optimization
• Ability to work in-person from Munich or Boston office most of the time

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated environments
• Experience with Voice AI / Conversational AI technologies
• Passion for sleep science, digital health, or behavioral change
• Interest or experience in AI/ML infrastructure
