Salary: $126,700 – $150,000 a year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services across secure federal enclave and AWS production environments.
• Contribute to architecture design, code quality, and the implementation of scalable system patterns.
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, providing mentorship and technical leadership to peers.
• Participate in production troubleshooting and analysis across diverse runtime environments.
• Partner with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure operational readiness and high system reliability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills and deep understanding of Java internals.
• Proficiency in software engineering principles, system design, and multi-threaded programming.
• Ability to adapt development workflows to both federal enclave and cloud-based (AWS) environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting FedRAMP certified products or working in secured/restricted-access environments.
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Background in microservices architecture, including asynchronous and synchronous communication models.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tools or frameworks.
• DevOps mindset with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
