What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services in federal enclave and AWS environments.
• Contribute to architecture design, system performance, and scalable coding patterns.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Perform production troubleshooting and system analysis across diverse environments.
• Work with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure operational readiness and system reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• At least 3 years of professional Java development experience
• Deep understanding of Java internals and multi-threaded programming
• Experience with software engineering principles, system design, and architecture
• Ability to adapt workflows to both federal enclave and AWS cloud environments
• Strong test-oriented mindset with experience in unit and component testing

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Experience with Kafka event-driven systems and messaging queues
• Knowledge of AI/ML tools or frameworks
• Background in FedRAMP certified production environments
