Salary: $216,500–$318,500 USD (US); 251,000–295,000 CAD (Canada)

What you will do

• Own technical architecture and roadmap for Devices Cloud systems including device connectivity, telemetry ingest, state management, and data pipelines ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
• Drive system-level direction across teams, resolve architectural trade-offs, and align with company strategy.
• Lead AI-native practices: architect agentic workflows for spec writing, code generation, testing, and incident response; extend playbooks organization-wide.
• Partner with firmware, mobile, product, and platform teams on APIs, integration standards, and hardware-software workflows.
• Deliver large-scale cross-team initiatives from conception to production, managing dependencies and outcomes.
• Mentor Staff/Senior engineers, conduct reviews, and lead on-call/incident response.

Requirements

• 12+ years experience designing/operating large-scale backend/cloud infrastructure, preferably IoT/telematics/hardware-adjacent
• Track record setting technical direction across teams and aligning roadmaps with business goals
• Deep expertise in cloud-native infra (AWS: EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis), distributed systems, high-throughput pipelines
• Strong experience with agentic AI workflows and AI-native development practices
• Ability to mentor engineers, elevate standards, and lead through influence
• Exceptional communication for diverse audiences; Bachelor’s in technical field or equivalent
