TL;DR

Business Development Representative (EdTech): Driving growth through proactive outreach and field-facing engagement at regional conferences with an accent on lead generation, relationship building, and market positioning. Focus on qualifying high-quality opportunities and seamless collaboration with Account Executives to accelerate the sales pipeline.

Location: Must be based in Dallas, TX (In-office 4 days per week required)

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 base salary

What you will do

  • Represent the company at regional conferences, trade shows, and industry events to generate new business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and qualify target schools and districts within the assigned region.
  • Execute a mix of in-person, cold call, and email outreach strategies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for educators and school administrators to communicate value propositions.
  • Coordinate closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and lead data within HubSpot.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work from the Dallas office 4 days per week.
  • 1–5 years of experience in SDR, BDR, or lead generation roles within B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline and sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
  • Passion for the education sector and desire to impact student learning.

Nice to have

  • Experience attending or managing education-focused conferences and trade shows.
  • Proficiency with GTM tools such as HubSpot and ZoomInfo.
  • Background in education technology or mission-driven organizations.
