TL;DR

Training & Development Specialist (L&D): Managing end-to-end onboarding and internal development programs for a global organization with an accent on facilitation, compliance reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on streamlining the new hire experience, supporting leadership development initiatives, and creating engaging training materials to drive organizational performance.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Austin, TX or Oldsmar, FL for a hybrid work schedule (in-office 3 days per week)

What you will do

  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly new hire onboarding sessions and employee skills training.
  • Maintain and update onboarding content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Manage program communications and scheduling for leadership and ongoing development initiatives.
  • Track learner progress, monitor HR reports for newly promoted managers, and ensure completion of required training.
  • Generate and analyze compliance reports, communicating status updates to department heads.
  • Support instructional design efforts and create custom learning content to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in training, learning and development, or talent acquisition.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel for reporting and coordination.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to suggest process improvements.
  • Must be based in the United States and eligible to work without visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from Austin, TX or Oldsmar, FL.

Nice to have

  • Experience with WorkRamp or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Degree in Communications, Business Administration, Education, or HR.
