What you will do

• Lead the delivery and technical coordination of the new seller-focused Marketplace API.
• Define and execute the target architecture, identifying long-term opportunities and technical risks.
• Mentor and coach senior engineers to foster technical excellence and proactive problem-solving.
• Facilitate architectural reviews and ensure alignment with organization-wide standards.
• Perform hands-on development to resolve complex system issues and remove friction from engineering workflows.
• Provide high-touch support and coordination for complex technical issues with external partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on API design and integration systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Elasticsearch, AWS, and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, observability, and developer experience.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Berlin for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Sales or Business Development departments.
• Good German language skills.
• Interest in AI-driven tooling and automation to enhance productivity.
