What you will do

• Design and implement system-level components for our tax management platform, including current taxes, deferred taxes, Pillar Two, and Country-by-Country Reporting modules.
• Design scalable, maintainable cloud solutions on AWS with a cost-aware mindset.
• Ensure quality through automated testing (unit/component/end-to-end) and code reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a small group of developers when needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on planning, prioritization, and delivery.
• Evaluate and prototype new technologies, including potential AI/LLM integrations, and share knowledge within the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java (17+) and OOP/design patterns.
• Solid Spring experience (e.g., MVC/Security/WebFlux) and API development (REST; SOAP is a plus).
• Good database skills (PostgreSQL/MS SQL), ORM (JPA/Hibernate), and migrations (Flyway).
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and ideally Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong engineering fundamentals: clean code, refactoring, multithreading, testing, Git; Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, Testcontainers, distributed systems, and AI/LLM tools/frameworks.
