What you will do
- Design and implement system-level components for our tax management platform, including current taxes, deferred taxes, Pillar Two, and Country-by-Country Reporting modules.
- Design scalable, maintainable cloud solutions on AWS with a cost-aware mindset.
- Ensure quality through automated testing (unit/component/end-to-end) and code reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a small group of developers when needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Evaluate and prototype new technologies, including potential AI/LLM integrations, and share knowledge within the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong Java (17+) and OOP/design patterns.
- Solid Spring experience (e.g., MVC/Security/WebFlux) and API development (REST; SOAP is a plus).
- Good database skills (PostgreSQL/MS SQL), ORM (JPA/Hibernate), and migrations (Flyway).
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and ideally Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Strong engineering fundamentals: clean code, refactoring, multithreading, testing, Git; Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
- Professional proficiency in German and English.

- Experience with CI/CD, Testcontainers, distributed systems, and AI/LLM tools/frameworks.
