Forward Deployed Engineer (Customer) (AI Engineering): Leading technical strategy and end-to-end design of AI-driven business transformation projects for customers with an accent on understanding domain-specific needs and architecting scalable agent-based solutions. Focus on bridging the gap between pre-sales/CS and engineering, ensuring requirements are actionable and outcomes measurable.

Location: Austin, Texas, United States. Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site discovery, deployment, and customer engagement.

What you will do

  • Own customer context by deeply understanding customer business domains, systems, and OKRs/KPIs to guide solution design.
  • Architect AI transformation by designing and documenting AI-driven workflows, agents, skills, and system integrations that align with customer goals and industry best practices.
  • Be a trusted advisor by building strong partnerships with customer stakeholders as their technical counterpart, delivering confidence in our platform’s capabilities.
  • Translate & coordinate between pre-sales/CS and engineering, ensuring requirements are actionable and outcomes measurable.
  • Architect modular, scalable solutions that can be extended across customers and verticals.
  • Collaborate with Applied AI engineers to oversee solution implementation, ensuring architectural alignment and execution excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in solution architecture or consulting roles, focused on enterprise-scale, customer-facing software implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern integration patterns (APIs, webhooks, pipelines).
  • Strong understanding of customer priorities, with the ability to translate business needs into technical execution plans.
  • A problem-solver with a growth mindset, skilled in crafting scalable and future-proof architectures.
  • Exceptional ability to convey complex technical and business concepts to diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in AI/architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe).
