Location: Hybrid in Culver City or remote within the United States

Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 USD annually (for CA, CO, NJ, NY, and WA)

What you will do

• Lead research initiatives to deepen understanding of player experience across game development and live operations
• Design, execute, and present high-impact quantitative and qualitative research studies in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Own end-to-end usability research including design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and presentation
• Manage external research partners ensuring cost-effective and timely results
• Collaborate with game development and strategy teams on research results, KPIs, and player experience solutions
• Mentor team members and evolve research methods and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred in Psychology, HCI, Game Design, Social Science, or related fields
• 6+ years of research experience in gaming at developer/publisher or agency
• Passion for mobile games and understanding of core loops and monetization
• Proven ability to design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies
• Experience managing external research vendors
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English preferred
• Quarterly international travel including China and monthly travel to LA-based lab required
