Network Engineer

What you will do

• Support and maintain user and server networks, including wired and wireless LANs, VPNs, SD-WANs, remote access, dynamic routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and ensure adherence to IT security standards for network infrastructure.
• Maintain network documentation and manage changes through change management processes in ServiceNow following ITIL best practices.
• Provide network support, management, and monitoring using tools like NetBox, Cacti, Wireshark, ExtremeCloud IQ, Extreme Site Engine, Nagios/Grafana, and Extreme AI Expert.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, IT security, IT architecture, and application management teams on consulting and troubleshooting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 2+ years of equivalent experience in network support, administration, or engineering.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA) are a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, the OSI model, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, SD-WAN, and WLANs.
• Experience with packet-level troubleshooting (e.g., Wireshark, Tcpdump, Ping and Trace tools, Syslog, IPerf, SNMP, NMAP).
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work both within a collaborative team environment and independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, hirify.global solutions, or A10 Networks is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF.
• Knowledge of secure remote access solutions, e.g., Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and client-based VPNs.
