Salary: $405,000 - $485,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, focusing on hiring, coaching, and maintaining a high technical standard.
• Build clean billing API abstractions and integration contracts for seamless product onboarding.
• Define and maintain the platform's reliability, including tiered SLOs and SLAs organized by customer impact.
• Build platform constructs to facilitate pricing experiments and monetization model iterations.
• Partner with Growth, Legal, Customer Support, and product teams to enhance the billing experience.
• Expand payment method coverage globally to improve authorization rates and conversion.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, with 8+ years in the industry.
• Experience leading teams building payments, billing, subscription, or monetization systems.
• Strong opinions about platform boundaries and API design.
• Good at cross-functional work and aligning diverse stakeholder opinions.
• Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with modern billing and payment platforms.
• Experience building or scaling local payment method adoption for international markets.
• Experience running a promotional/offers platform for growth or subscription conversion.
• Experience in a PLG or self-serve SaaS environment.
• Experience managing teams through regulatory or compliance-heavy work.
