Salary: $133,000 - $391,500 USD

What you will do

• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team of 4-8 engineers in the US.
• Lead planning and execution of engineering initiatives for the AI Agent platform ensuring high quality and reliability.
• Guide software architecture, technical decisions, and engineering best practices.
• Promote operational excellence including on-call practices, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, SRE, Support, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI engineering practices.

Requirements

• Must reside in the United States with remote work allowed outside 50 miles of San Ramon or hybrid work onsite within that radius.
• 3+ years managing software engineering teams and 8+ years professional software development experience.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, Java/JVM backend, and cloud-native microservices.
• Exposure to GenAI/LLM systems and AI-assisted software development tools.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• 1-2 years building AI Agent platforms for customer experience including voicebots and chatbots.
