What you will do
- Perform initial triage and resolution of Lab IT incidents.
- Support research labs by documenting and improving IT processes and procedures.
- Coordinate instrument onboarding, upgrades, and repairs with labs and vendors.
- Integrate lab equipment into existing IT infrastructure ensuring seamless data acquisition and transfer.
- Install and support research applications for data acquisition and analysis.
- Maintain asset management logs and inform leadership about equipment status.
Requirements
- Must be onsite in Cambridge, MA and Burlington, MA.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 3+ years supporting Lab IT.
- Experience with technical documentation and customer service.
- Basic network troubleshooting and command line familiarity.
- Strong OS troubleshooting skills in Windows and Linux.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with good time management.
Nice to have
- ITILv4 foundational knowledge.
- Experience managing projects or complex IT integrations.
- Familiarity with lab systems like Illumina, NovaSeq, Hamilton.
- Experience with ELNs, Jupyter Notebooks, Graphpad, Prism.
- Basic cloud experience, preferably GCP.
