What you will do

• Lead a team of ~8 engineers building next-generation hirify.global Exchange trading systems
• Own core exchange components including order entry, matching engines, market data, and APIs end-to-end
• Drive ultra-low-latency, high-throughput, and highly reliable systems operating 24/7/365
• Collaborate with Product, Infra/SRE, and leadership to translate strategy into deliverables
• Establish team processes for planning, testing, reviews, safe deploys, on-call, and postmortems
• Define and maintain operating metrics (SLOs/SLIs, latency, availability, error budgets)

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with service-oriented architecture
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Passion for building an open financial system leveraging crypto and blockchain technology
• Hybrid work with required in-person participation in the US

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating low-latency trading systems (matching engines, market data, order entry/FIX)
• Strong track record designing high-performance distributed systems at scale
• Experience with Java in performance-critical environments and Aeron / SBE or similar messaging
