What you will do

• Lead and influence system architecture design ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
• Mentor engineering teams and establish best practices for testing, performance tuning, and code quality.
• Provide technical leadership during code reviews and collaborate with product managers and technical leads.
• Drive performance optimization, debugging, and safe deployment rollouts.
• Lead product refinement using telemetry analysis and experimentation frameworks.
• Develop strategies for risk assessment and drive innovation aligned with long-term goals.

Requirements

• Must have 11+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Proven experience with high-throughput production services and distributed systems performance tuning.
• Proficiency in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Location: Remote work from Canada.
