What you will do

• Maintain and improve edge security platforms by monitoring system health and preventing disruptions across global online services.
• Collaborate with engineers and teams to research, test, and implement new edge security features that improve performance and protection.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex security incidents that have a direct impact on public-facing banking applications.
• Secure new public hirify.global applications by configuring and tuning edge security rules with development teams.
• Automate recurring security checks and configurations using infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Networks Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent technical training.
• Knowledge and experience with Agile, DevOps, Lean, and ITIL methodologies.
• Experience in managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions such as Akamai, Cloudflare, or AWS WAF.
• Solid networking skills at layer 3 and above.
• Experience with public cloud providers like AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems such as Azure AD or ADFS.
• Must work from Utrecht, Netherlands, with a hybrid office/home setup.
• English: B2 required

Nice to have

• Passion for automating recurring tasks, tests, and security checks through CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of web browser technologies (e.g., Caching, Cookies, Headers).
• Experience with languages and frameworks such as Terraform, Python, JSON, PowerShell, Bash, and YAML.
• Understanding of protocols and web technologies like HTTP, TLS, DNS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
