Automation Engineer (DevOps/Cybersecurity)

Automation Engineer (DevOps/Cybersecurity): Building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining CI/CD and automation pipelines to support cyber threat intelligence capabilities, with an accent on infrastructure and application deployment. Location: UK (Manchester, London, or Cheltenham) or the Netherlands (Rijswijk). Must be based in the UK or the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, secure, monitor, and maintain CI/CD and automation pipelines.
• Bridge the technical gap between developers, engineers, and analysts using automation and CI.
• Provide robust support for automatable processes.
• Identify automation opportunities within the department.
• Streamline testing to prevent issues like regression and destructive errors.

Requirements

• Experience with continuous automated testing, integration, and deployment, ideally using GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Understanding of cloud networking and computing concepts, particularly AWS.
• Experience working in a DevOps team.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security principles in cloud computing.
• English: B2 required.
• Must be willing and able to undergo pre-employment background checks (BS7858 screening).

Nice to have

• Automated infrastructure deployment using Terraform/OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Ansible, and Packer.
• Experience with secrets management and GitOps.
• Knowledge of data processing, management, and automation.
• AWS certifications.
• Experience with Threat Intelligence tooling and platforms, such as OpenCTI.
• Experience working on open-source software.
