What you will do

• Coach and develop a team of approximately 20 engineers, focusing on technical excellence and a growth mindset.
• Drive competence development, training paths, and individual development goals for the team.
• Ensure software quality, maintainability, availability, and compliance with regulations like DORA & GDPR.
• Contribute to NN Bank’s tech transformation roadmap and manage staffing, hiring, and workforce planning.
• Promote sharing of engineering practices and facilitate cross-team knowledge sharing to reduce domain silos.
• Align goals and objectives with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and the broader engineering community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in a coaching or leading role such as engineering manager, IT manager, project manager, product owner, or team lead.
• Strong coaching, leadership, and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, partly from home and partly from the office in The Hague.
• Experience in the financial sector is highly valued.
