What you will do
- Lead technology direction for sanctions and external fraud detection, covering global transaction filtering, name screening, and payments fraud protection.
- Drive the modernization of detection systems using machine learning, AI Agents, Generative AI, and workflow automation.
- Ensure high-quality IT delivery, aligning solutions with target architecture and leveraging advanced technologies.
- Manage IT risks, operational and security focus, and accountability for IT incident, change, vulnerability, and Business Continuity Management.
- Drive strategic direction while coaching Tech Leads and squads to improve engineering maturity and agile ways of working.
- Align multiple squads and vendors to deliver predictable, compliant Sanctions and Fraud releases.
Requirements
- Academic working and thinking level with 10+ years of experience in software or system engineering within large financial organizations.
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles in regulated environments such as financial services.
- Proven experience with real-time detection, model development, workflow management, Artificial Intelligence (AI Agents, Generative AI), machine learning, and Databricks.
- Strong leadership mindset that motivates and inspires teams.
- Ability to act as a natural connector who brings stakeholders together.
