What you will do

• Play a key role in developing and executing The Sun's social media and engagement strategy, including video distribution.
• Curate and edit content from across channels to satisfy diverse audience demographics.
• Edit and maintain The Sun’s social media channels and distribute various newsletters weekly.
• Contribute to the adoption and growth of emerging social platforms and tools.
• Work directly with editorial, digital, video, picture, design, commercial, and marketing teams.
• Ensure the newsroom has sufficient insight to produce stories and manage their distribution on social media and to subscribers.

Requirements

• Wide knowledge of social media platforms and current affairs.
• Strong understanding of the value of newsletters and engagement tools.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver work at a consistently high standard.
• Proactive attitude and a great team player.
• Organised and an effective problem-solver with creative approaches.
• Demonstrated understanding of The Sun brand and audience, both print and digital.
