TL;DR

Controller: Architecting the financial infrastructure for a fast-growing company, leading core accounting functions including close, technical accounting, controls, compliance, and reporting with an accent on scaling financial processes and leveraging AI for automation. Focus on providing granular financial breakdowns and actionable insights to leadership, ensuring accurate reporting and high-quality deliverables.

Location: This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work 4 days a week from one of our offices in San Francisco, New York, or Denver, with 1 day remote.

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR/invoicing, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Own the month-end close process and manage third-party accounting firm for timely closes and accurate reporting.
• Uplevel ERP systems and implement scalable finance systems to automate invoicing, reconciliation, and procurement.
• Manage internal controls and procurement processes.
• Provide granular financial breakdowns and actionable insights to the leadership team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of accounting experience, ideally managing and maturing financial processes from Series B/C to later stages.
• Proficiency in all major accounting processes (O2C, P2P, H2R, R2R).
• Experience implementing modern financial systems and navigating data tools (SQL).
• Excitement about using AI to eliminate manual accounting tasks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA and SOX experience is preferred.
